Drew Lathin has 30 years of experience as a change agent helping organizations adapt to changing external conditions. He plays various roles – facilitator, expert resource, cheerleader, critic, leader, and coach – to enable individuals and organizations to transform themselves. He has worked in various industries, large and small, profit and non-profit, “from Ford to farmers” as he likes to say, and brings all these experiences to client engagements to provide a rich source of ideas from which to work. Drew believes that successful change occurs when clients wrestle with defining the problem, developing and evaluating solutions, and working hard at implementation. This is necessary to develop commitment to enact the tough choices that must be made. Only when the client understands this is Drew able to help. Drew’s specialties include team-based work systems, organizational redesign, culture change, six sigma, quality systems, and lean. When implementing these initiatives there needs to be balance between the present demands of the business and implementing these initiatives for future sustainability. Drew’s recent experience as a product manager for a start-up company demonstrates his intimate understanding of the pressures associated with running a business. This experience enables Drew to know how to temper the pace of change with the demands associated with everyday management. |
