First applied to an accounting firm (specializing in preparing businesses to apply for state financial assistance), it has been subsequently used by both entrepreneurial and technical businesses to help assess organizational performance and create improvement plans.

The course is a one- to three-day, onsite audit with feedback tailored to client applications.

This assessment tool scores effectiveness in nine attributes within an organization, department or unit to describe the present state of functioning before presenting a framework for future planning.
