9 — Strategic Vision

First used by a county planning board in Loudon County, VA to actively involve volunteer leaders in setting goals to effectively serve the public, this course has been subsequently used during the last five years by small companies and operational groups to create consensus around strategic initiatives.

The course is a half-day, directed workshop during which small groups quickly determine the initial direction for strategic growth. It emphasizes informality and group interaction to develop immediate, practical results, and allows individuals at all levels to have a direct impact on growing the organization.
